March 2
Identity fraud: A Country Lane woman learned that her personal information had been used without authorization.
March 5
Aggravated menacing: A Dobbins Road man told police he had been threatened while at a Quarry Road business.

March 3
Domestic violence: Craig I. Washington Jr., 23, of Madison Road, Youngstown, faced domestic-violence and drug-abuse charges after a Mathews Road woman alleged he had struck and scratched her face and hit her head during an argument related to transportation for their child. Washington also had one over-the-counter pill in his pocket for which he had no prescription, a report showed.
March 4
Theft: Rick C. Griffith, 49, surrendered on a theft charge. Griffith, of Meadow Road, Kensington, was accused of stealing two 24-ounce cans of beer Feb. 29 from a Shell True North gas station, 950 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: Cheyenne L. Heaton, 19, of Woodland Drive, New Middletown, surrendered on one count of theft related to a Feb. 27 shoplifting situation at Kohl’s, 383 Boardman-Poland Road, in which three pairs of men’s pajama bottoms had been stolen.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle in the 7400 block of Sierra Madre Trail was found with a broken driver’s-side window. Damage came to $100.
Theft: A man reportedly stole a $22 bottle of whiskey from Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive.
Drugs: A traffic stop near Market Street resulted in the arrest of 32-year-old Andrew J. Heasley of Hogback Road, Hermitage, Pa., on charges of possession of drug-abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia. Two cut straws and a white powder were found in a pack of cigarettes, police alleged.
Theft: An administrator with a South Avenue care center reported someone without authorization had made such withdrawals from an elderly resident’s bank account.
Theft: Officers charged Deanna M. Tringhese of Cherokee Lane, Columbiana, with theft and possession of criminal tools after alleging the 51-year-old woman had switched price tags before buying several grocery items at Walmart. Tringhese also had in her purse five bar codes that had been cut and taped, a report said.
Drugs: Officers took custody of 27-year-old Rodney L. Eyster of Hamilton Avenue, Poland, who was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and wanted on warrants charging possession of drug-abuse instruments and a probation violation. During what appeared to be a possible drug overdose in a vehicle on Boardman-Poland Road, a syringe and a spoon used to prepare suspected heroin were found, a report stated.
Citation: A traffic stop near South and Afton avenues led to a citation charging 26-year-old Zachary R. DePaul of North Ward Avenue, Girard, with operating a vehicle impaired. DePaul’s blood-alcohol count was 0.112, which exceeds Ohio’s 0.08 legal limit, a report said.
March 5
Arrest: A vehicle check in the 1700 block of East Midlothian Boulevard resulted in 20-year-old Jamel R. Patton’s arrest. Patton, of Ninth Street, Struthers, was wanted on a Youngstown warrant charging failure to appear in court.
Burglary: To an apartment in the 6600 block of Market Street through the front door. Stolen were over-the-counter medications, a purse and $450.
Arrest: Andrew A. Bloomberg, 25, of Park Harbour Drive, Boardman, was charged with operating a vehicle impaired after having been pulled over near his residence.
Theft: A woman with a small child reportedly stole $350 worth of merchandise from Target, 417 Boardman-Poland Road.
Criminal damaging: A 17-year-old Youngstown girl alleged her former boyfriend used a hammer to damage her $700 iPhone while in the 90 block of Willow Drive.
Arrest: Tangerine L. Halko of Alverne Drive, Poland, was charged with operating a vehicle impaired after police stopped her near South Avenue. Halko, 18, also was handed a minor-misdemeanor citation charging her with having 0.3 grams of suspected marijuana.
Drug paraphernalia: A traffic stop near Market Street led to charges of possession of drug paraphernalia against 37-year-old Angela M. Cambert of Oldtown-McDonald Road, Mineral Ridge, and 44-year-old Robert L. Matthews Jr. of Westwood Drive, Austintown, when, officers alleged, multiple suspected crack-cocaine pipes were in their car. Both also were wanted on felony warrants.
Weapon: After conducting a random vehicle check near Willow Drive, authorities charged 49-year-old Roger S. Powell of Helena Avenue, Youngstown, with one felony count of carrying a concealed weapon after saying Powell had a 3-foot wooden club with eight nails protruding from one end. The charge was elevated because of a prior conviction, a report stated.
Theft/criminal mischief: Someone removed six property-line stakes from a piece of property in the 4300 block of Riverside Drive.
March 6
Theft: A 15-year-old Youngstown boy was accused of stealing a $2 snack item from Walmart.
Menacing: A Southern Boulevard man reported his former girlfriend and two other people made and sent to him about a month’s worth of such calls and Facebook messages, causing the accuser to fear possible reprisals for having broken up with the girlfriend.
Theft: A township woman noticed her $900 iPhone missing after having left a Boardman-Poland Road eatery.
March 7
Assault: Two people reported having been punched during a fight at a Southern Park Mall restaurant, though neither was injured.
Menacing: An Allen Drive man said a relative threatened to beat him up after claiming the victim had stolen tools from a Mathews Road home.
Theft: A woman reportedly took $68 worth of clothing from Gabriel Bros., 850 Boardman-Poland Road.
Identity theft: A West Boulevard woman found out someone without consent had opened three credit-card accounts in her name, then made $845 worth of fraudulent charges.
Theft: Two men and a woman reportedly stole $757 worth of electronics equipment from Walmart.
Menacing: A Clifton Drive man alleged his landlord threatened bodily harm against the accuser during an argument related to a rent payment.
Theft: Authorities charged 50-year-old Michael G. Seidita with theft after alleging Seidita, of Mahoning Avenue, Youngstown, had stolen a $35 iPhone case from Walmart.
