Girard police investigating armed robbery
GIRARD — Police are investigating a report of an aggravated robbery shortly after 2 a.m. Thursday.
A 20-year-old Niles man told officers he had made arrangements to sell about $125 worth of items, including headphones, to a 19-year-old man whom he met through high school, according to a police report.
The Niles man said he met the 19-year-old man and two other men in a car parked in a North Ward Avenue lot, but the 19-year-old pulled out a handgun and took the items without paying, according to the police report. Possible charges are pending, police said.
