Austintown library hosted one of its monthly book club meetings, the Page Turners book club, on Feb. 17.
Andrea Robinson, an Austintown librarian, recently took over leading the Page Turners Book Club. The group meets once a month to discuss a book they read since the previous meeting.
“Everybody reads their own book and then we come here and each talk about what we read. Essentially we are getting suggestions and seeing everybody else’s taste. It’s pretty cool,” said Robinson.
One of the members said he enjoys this book club because not everyone has to read the same book and reports come back with a variety of topics.
There are normally 7-10 people who attend the meetings. Some days there are more, while others there are less. Each person takes a turn talking about the book they read which leads into a discussion about that book.
The members get ideas from each other about different books to read and to broaden their reading horizons.
Austintown library has two other monthly book clubs, ...And the Rest is History book club and the Chapter Chat book club.
