Austintown hotel evacuated for gas leak

AUSTINTOWN

Austintown Fire Department has evacuated people from Sleep Inn, 5555 Interstate Blvd., due to a gas leak tonight.

Police department officials said some 10 evacuees were transported to get medical attention due to the high levels of exposure.

Authorities are testing for high levels of carbon monoxide.

Lane EMS officials said they had no comment at this time on the status of the people transported.
