Traffic stop in Hubbard leads to charges
HUBBARD
A traffic stop Sunday morning led to multiple misdemeanor charges including carrying a concealed weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia and violating open container law. Police stopped Jeffrey Morgan, 62, of Hubbard about 9 a.m. at Cyrus Street near Wheeler Avenue for speeding, according to a police report. Morgan was placed under arrest due to a warrant for failure to appear on a traffic charge issued in February by the same officer who stopped him Sunday, according to the report.
Police searched Morgan's car and found open cans of beer, a serrated knife and a glass pipe, the report states.
