Councilwoman Anita Davis, D-6th, invites residents to sit down and share what is going on in the neighborhood for the first Coffee and Conversation at 10 a.m. Saturday at Flambeau Live, 2308 Market St.

Davis will provide complimentary coffee and doughnuts during the discussion and will take questions.

Canfield High NHS plans class on CPR

CANFIELD

National Honors Society students are hosting a cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification class to benefit Heart Reach Ministries in Youngstown.

The class is from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Rush Church, 425 W. Main St.

Participants will receive certifications by the American Heart Association in CPR, Heimlich maneuver and training in AED, automated external defibrillation.

The cost is $35 per person and must be received by the church before Tuesday. All profits will be donated to Heart Reach, an after-school program for Youngstown’s inner-city children. For more information, email cpr.certify.class@gmail.com.

Senior Watch sets open house Thursday in Liberty

LIBERTY

The Liberty Township Senior Watch Program will have an open house for residents older than 60 at 11 a.m. Thursday at the administration building, 1315 Church-Hill Hubbard Road.

Lisa Solley, spokeswoman for the Area Agency on Aging, will be the keynote speaker. There also will be information there for Trumbull County Mobile Meals, along with township police and fire staff members.

The program provides a multitude of services for township seniors, including lock boxes, address markers, smoke detectors and carbon-monoxide detectors.
