Denver Broncos linebackerSFlbVon Miller, the MVP of Super Bowl 50, is expected to be named a contestant today on the upcoming season of ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars.” Pittsburgh Steelers star wide receiver Antonio Brown also is expected to be on the show. Foreigner will play Mountaineer

Lecture to focus on Italian-Americans

The Mahoning Valley Historical Society’s next Bites and Bits of History lunch program will be March 17 at noon at the Tyler Mahoning Valley History Center, 325 W. Federal St., downtown. Dr. Donna DeBlasio and Dr. Martha Pallante will present “Italian Americans of the Greater Mahoning Valley.”

The program will discuss the history of Italians from their arrival in this country in the 1890s to circa 1960.

St. Baldrick’s event

The heads of more than two dozen men and women will be shaved bald at a fundraising event March 12 at O’Donold’s Irish Pub in Austintown Plaza to raise money for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, which supports pediatric cancer research. The daylong event starts at noon with the 5k Fun Run/1K Walk, along with bands performing inside and in the parking lot.
