SENIOR CITIZENS
• 1418 Auxiliary Seniors will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bedford Trails Golf Course on Bedford Road in Coitsville. Members will order from the menu. Birthdays and anniversaries will be acknowledged. Bingo will be played, and there will be a 50-50. Illnesses or deaths should be reported to Pat Bozichovich at 330-755-7552.
• Canfield AARP 3104 will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at 1 p.m. at the Canfield Presbyterian Church. Blood pressure screening will be available from noon to 12:45, courtesy of the Salem Visiting Nurses. Vangie McDonald, who lived in Liberia as a child when her parents served as missionaries, will present a program about Liberia. She returned to the country in 2012 with a group of women from the Evangelical Lutheran Church. An overnight bus trip to Lancaster, Pa., to see “Sampson” will be April 25 and 26. The trip includes overnight accommodations, baggage handling, a dinner at the Shady Maple Buffet and a family style Amish dinner. For information call Shirley at 330-337-6150. There also will be a June 16 trip to Playhouse Square in Cleveland to see “Phantom of the Opera,” with a meal at the Welshfield Inn in Burton. Call Barbara at 330-757-0780. Nonmembers and guests are welcome at the meetings and bus trips. The next meeting is set for 10 a.m. April 19 at the church. In the event of inclement weather, any meeting would be canceled if Canfield schools are closed.
• Our Lady of Mount Carmel Seniors will meet Wednesday after the noon Mass. John Mascardine will preside, and reports will be given by Beverly Pondillo and Ann Leone. Lunch will be served, and birthdays and anniversaries will be observed. There will be a 50-50 drawing, and cards and bingo will be played. Guests are welcome. Illness among members should be reported to Carmel Colaizzi at 330-797-9248.
• Saxon Retirees will have a regular meeting at noon Thursday. Reservations for a ham dinner should be made or canceled today.
• St. Anthony Seniors Club will meet Tuesday at the church rectory with lunch at noon and the meeting at 1 p.m. Joseph and Rita Criscione are committee members.
• SOAR 27-2 and 27-6 Steelworkers Retirees, Local Union 1330 and 1331, will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at Smith Corners United Methodist Church, 3000 S. Niles-Canfield Road. Refreshments will be served. New members are welcome.
• Trumbull County Public Employee Retirees Inc., Chapter 56, will meet at 11:15 a.m. March 16 at DiLucia’s Restaurant, 2610 Elm Road NE, Warren. Speaker will be Mary Ann Cashier, a nurse and a stroke coordinator from Humility of Mary. Reservations must be made by March 13 by calling 330-372-2603, 330-469-6753 or 330-898-3625.
• UFCW Local 880 Retirees Club will host a St. Patrick’s Day party at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Cafe 422 in Boardman. Membership is open to all Local 880 retirees. For information contact Karen at 330-502-2103.
