Poetry reading is set for Tuesday

YOUNGSTOWN

The Pig Iron Literary and Art Works will host an open poetry reading at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Pig Iron Press building, 26 N. Phelps St.

Guests are welcome to read and share their own work, reflections and favorite works, and are invited to listen to others. Readers are permitted up to eight minutes to recite. Sign-up is at the door.

There also will be poetry readings April 12, May 10, June 14, July 12, Aug. 9, Sept. 13, Oct. 11, Nov. 8 and Dec. 13.

The Pig Iron poets have met monthly on the second Tuesday of each month since 1997.

Musicians, authors to visit Salem tavern

SALEM

Jesse Henceroth and Roy Henceroth will participate in a book signing of “The Home Recording Manual” from 7 to 10 p.m. April 7 at Shriver’s Tavern, 635 E. State St.

The twin brothers and Salem natives are members of the rock band The Breezeway. They are graduates of the School of Audio Engineering in Nashville, Tenn., and own their own music label, The Henceroth Music Group LLC. Their book shares information on home recording in a compact, easy-to-read manual.
