Mahoning & Columbiana Training Association is now located at 20 Federal Place, 20 W. Federal Street, Suite 604.

MCTA’s phone number, 330-747-5639, and fax number, 330-743-1741, have not changed. The office previously was located at 9 W. Front St. for 16 years.

MCTA is the fiscal agent for the federal Workforce Innovation & Opportunities Act funds as well as operator of the OhioMeansJobs Centers of Mahoning and Columbiana counties.

Chamber meeting

BOARDMAN

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will have its annual meeting from 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 23 at Mr. Anthony’s, 7440 South Ave.

Tom Humphries, chamber president and CEO, will provide an update on the chamber’s efforts and what 2016 will bring for the organization.

Annual awards will be presented to: Col. James Dignan, commander of the 910th Airlift Wing, Spirit of the Valley award; Doug Sweeney, president of Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC, Spirit of the áhamber award; and U.S. Sen. Rob Portman, Chairwomen’s Political Achievement Award.

Bright Idea to Business Plan

YOUNGSTOWN

The Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corp. will present a new series of its free, intensive business-planning course, Bright Idea to Business Plan. It will be presented this spring with the support of Cortland Banks.

The course will run from 6 to 9 p.m. every Tuesday night April 5 through May 17. Topics covered include community resources, mission and vision and cash flows. Small-business owners also will participate in classes, giving students their perspective on reaching their entrepreneurial dreams.

The classes are free, and participants should commit to attending the entire series.

SOUP applications

WARREN

Warren SOUP is accepting project proposal applications for its next micro- finance dinner at 5:30 p.m. April 16 at John F. Kennedy Catholic School, 2550 Central Parkway SE.

SOUP provides micro-funding for creative local projects that will have a positive impact on the city of Warren.

Applicants interested in presenting a project at the next Warren SOUP event can fill out a digital application found at tnpwarren.org/warren-soup/ or pick up an application at 170 North Park Avenue.
