Up for adoption

How to adopt: Call West Side Cats at 330-792-4228. Visit them at the shelter at 2217 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown.

Name: Sandy

Info: This feline is a wonderful girl who just turned 6 on Jan. 1. She’s a brown and white tabby that was being fed under someone’s porch until they lured her out and brought her to the shelter. She is on the quieter side and doesn’t mind other cats. It’s unknown how she’ll react to dogs. Older children would be recommended for this shy lady that needs an understanding family and her own home soon!

Name: Jo

Info: Jo is a brown tabby that arrived at the shelter with 14 other cats that have all been adopted. She was born outside in November 2011 and was being fed by some kind souls. She’s not an attention seeker like some other kitties, but make the first move, and she’ll accept plenty of pets and love. Come to the shelter and see if she’ll fit in at your home – she deserves a loving family after the struggles she’s endured.

Hours: 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday; Closed Sunday and Monday.

Info: Both cats have been neutered and are up-to-date on their shots. They tested negative for feline AIDS and leukemia. They have been flea-treated and dewormed and are ready to go home.
