A summary of police activity in the city of Canfield and Austintown:

CANFIELD

Feb. 18

Warrant: Police arrested Gerontios Ginnis,18, of Breetz Drive, Campbell on a Canfield Mayor’s Court warrant for failure to appear.

Feb. 21

Warrant: Police arrested Steven Shaffer, 45, of Market Street, Youngstown on a probation-violation warrant and traffic violations.

Feb. 24

Breaking and entering: Main Moon Chinese Restaurant, 423 E. Main St., was broken into and property stolen.

Drug abuse: Police arrested Christina Roberts, 39, of West Main Street, Canfield on charges of possession of drug-abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia, and Brandon Bennett, 31, same address, on a Youngstown police warrant for failure to appear on a traffic charge.

AUSTINTOWN

Feb. 22

Disorderly conduct: Police arrested William Grossen, 51, of Staatz Drive on a disorderly-conduct charge.

Theft: A diamond ring was stolen from a home in the 200 block of Carnegie Avenue.

Warrant: Police arrested David Soles, 54, of Kirk Road on a warrant for criminal damaging.

Robbery: A victim was assaulted and a cellphone taken on South Four Mile Run Road and Oakleigh Avenue.

Disorderly conduct: Police arrested Katelyn Governale, 25, of Fountain Square on a charge of disorderly conduct.

Criminal trespassing: Police arrested Kevin Daniels, 38, of Columbus on charges of criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct at Sheetz gas station, 5499 Mahoning Ave., and issued a summons to Tasha Jones, 39, of Columbus on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Feb. 23

Weapons offense: Police arrested Tyrese Lynce, 21, of Judson Avenue, Youngstown on a charge arrested of carrying a concealed weapon in his car at Bill’s Place, 4771 Mahoning Ave. According to police, a loaded Ruger .357 revolver was found under the seat of his car. He also is charges with possession of suspected heroin and prescription pills.

Identity theft: A resident of the 200 block of North Roanoke Avenue reported identity theft.

Theft: Police arrested Yusuf El-Makdah, 20, homeless, on a charge of resisting arrest and a warrant for theft. Police accused him of taking clothing at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.

Recovered property: A debit card was recovered at a home in the 6000 block of New Road.

Theft: A cellphone was stolen at Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course, 777 Hollywood Drive.

Domestic violence: Police arrested James Pesano, 31, of East Broadway Avenue, Girard on a domestic-violence charge.

Disturbance: Two sixth-graders were fighting at the Austintown Library, 600 S. Raccoon Road.

Feb. 24

Theft: Medications were stolen from the mail at a home in the 5000 block of Colgate Drive.

Telecommunications harassment: A mother-daughter dispute was reported as telecommunications harassment at a home in the 1000 block of Tuxford Court.

Theft: A male suspect stole vodka from Kmart.

Drug offense: Police arrested David Randall Parke, 22, of Calla Avenue Northwest, Warren on charges of falsification, possession of drug-abuse instruments, drug abuse of heroin, corrupting another with drugs, tampering with evidence and trafficking heroin. Police said a 22-year-old Warren woman he was with overdosed on heroin but was revived by police and paramedics using several doses of naxolone.

Theft: A cellphone was stolen from Walmart.

Feb. 25

Drug offense: Police arrested Melinda Seekins, 36, of South Market Street, Girard on charges of possession of cocaine, possession of Vicodin, drug-abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia, and William Karpensko,31, same address, on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, permitting drug abuse and possession of cocaine.

Inducing panic: A juvenile male was taken to the Martin P. Joyce Juvenile Justice Center for inducing panic at Austintown Fitch High School, 4560 Falcon Drive.

Warrant: Police arrested Jessica Wolfe, 25, of Wilcox Road, Austintown on an unspecified Pennsylvania warrant.

Warrant: Police arrested John Smith, 53, of Lakeview Avenue, Youngstown on an unspecified Youngstown warrant while at J.C. Penney’s, 6000 Mahoning Ave.

Feb. 26

Lost or stolen property: A trailer plate was lost or stolen at a home in the 6000 block of South Timberidge Avenue.

Recovered property: A wallet was recovered at Walmart.

Warrant: Police arrested Brandon Leonelli, 19, of South Schenley Avenue, Youngstown on a warrant for aggravated robbery.

Bomb threat: A 15-year-old male admitted making a bomb threat at Austintown Fitch High School.

Fraud: Unauthorized charges were reported at a home in the 4000 block of Lake Road.

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Michael Thornton, 18, of Dunbar Street on a charge of possession of marijuana and a marijuana brownie.

Warrant: Police arrested Joseph Maderitz, 47, of North Hazelwood Avenue, Youngstown on a warrant out of Boardman for violation of a protection order.

Drug offense: Police issues a summons to Lee Dashaw, 23, of South Hartford Avenue, Youngstown on a charge of possession of marijuana.

Feb. 27

Warrant: Police arrested Bryan Maracco, 35, of Leffingwell Road, Berlin Center on a warrant for menacing by stalking through Struthers Municipal Court.

Robbery: Police arrested Marquise Hall, 25, of East Wood Street, Youngstown on a robbery charge and violation of a protection order.

Feb. 28

Theft: Two catalytic converters were stolen from Steve Grayson Auto Sales, 5202 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A catalytic converter was stolen from an auto at Steeltown Motors, 6617 Mahoning Ave.

Fraud: An unauthorized charge was made to a Home Savings and Loan account of a person who lives at a home in the 200 block of North Yorkshire Boulevard.

Theft: An unidentified man took an iPad cover at Walmart.
