Youngstown woman jailed after biting chunk out of man's leg

YOUNGSTOWN — Reports say an East Judson Avenue woman is in the Mahoning County jail on a domestic-violence charge for biting a chunk out of a man’s leg late Thursday evening.

Bridgette “Sweet Chocolate” Crawford, 50, is expected to be arraigned later today in municipal court. She was arrested about 10:05 p.m. after police called to a home in the first block of East Judson Avenue on the South Side arrived and noticed a man lying in the doorway with a piece of skin from his leg missing.

Reports said Crawford told police the victim choked her and she bit him in self-defense, but she had no marks on her, and the victim, besides missing a large chunk of skin from his leg, also had marks on his face.

The victim was treated for his injuries by paramedics, reports said.
