Youngstown man arrested second time for drug possession

YOUNGSTOWN — A man who was arrested Sunday on a possession-of-cocaine charge after a traffic stop and was freed after posting $15,000 bond Monday was arrested Thursday during a traffic stop on a charge of heroin possession.

Ricky Paige, 29, of Youngstown is expected to be arraigned on the charge later today in municipal court, as well as a count of driving under suspension.

Paige was arrested after he was pulled over just before 2 p.m. at Erie and East Auburndale avenues on the South Side for making an improper turn.

Reports said an officer saw him put something into the center console of his car, which later turned out to be a bag of suspected heroin.

Reports said Paige had $605 in cash on him when he was arrested.

When he was arrested Sunday, he had $262 cash on him, reports said.

Paige was taken to the Mahoning County jail. He was one of three people arrested by police on drug charges Thursday.
