Two local startups receive funds to grow


YOUNGSTOWN — Two local startups recently won funds from Innovation Fund Northeast Ohio.

Enyx Studios, a video game development studio focused on creating interactive experiences for gamers, won $25,000.

JuggerBot 3D, a technology firm with a line of engineering-grade 3-D printers that are easy to use, also won $25,000.

Both are Youngstown Business Incubator portfolio companies.

Seven technology startups won a combined $250,000 from Innovation Fund Northeast Ohio. One company won the $100,000 award, which is matched dollar for dollar enabling companies to complete $200,000 projects that should further their businesses.

Six startups received $25,000 grants to help validate their technologies.

Innovation Fund Northeast Ohio, founded by the Lorain County Community College Foundation, is partners with Youngstown State University and YBI.
