Fitch student wins Congressional App Challenge

In such a tech savvy world, apps are created for almost everything. Apps for school districts are beginning to become more popular. Apps such as DRUND help to keep everyone in a district connected.

Austintown Fitch senior Max Bleggi wanted to do the same with his student planner app. Bleggi created a student planner app in which students can enter in homework assignments, set up reminders and message others in the app. He saw a need for the app due to his own struggle with keeping track of assignments. After the app was created, Bleggi entered the 2015 Congressional App Challenge to see how his app would fare against others.

“I had already completed the work for the app, so I figured I would send it in,” Bleggi said.

Bleggi was one out of two winners in the state of Ohio. There were about 130 app winners throughout the country. All winner’s awards will be displayed at the capital.
