The students and teachers of Dobbins Elementary set up their classrooms to celebrate Valentine’s Day with parties on Feb. 10, including plenty of ice cream.
Many of the PTO members and other parents came to Dobbins to help pass out the ice cream to the students. Each classroom had ice cream and several toppings for the students to create their own ice cream sundaes.
A lot of the teachers said they were happy the parties were at the end of the day because the students were so hyped up on sugar. They try to keep things simple for the students because it’s their party and it gives them a time to talk and hang out with their friends in the classroom.
The classrooms were full of students walking around passing out Valentines and eating candy and ice cream.
The students were excited at the opportunity to be able to spend time with each other and have a fun end of the day before a long weekend.
