Primetime Tri-Gold Chapter of American Business Women’s Association will announce the chapter woman of the year when it meets Wednesday at A La Cart Catering in Canfield. A social at 5:30 p.m. will precede dinner at 6. The cost is $19, and the menu will consist of Swiss chicken and Swiss steak, parsley potatoes, peas and carrots, salad, roll and butter, dessert, coffee and tea. Altrusa Club of Youngstown will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday at Birch Hill Cabin in Mill Creek Park. Metaphysical Insights 528 will present a program Wednesday at the S.C.O.P.E. building, 220 W. Market St., Warren. Youngstown Mothers of Twins Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Magic Tree Restaurant in Boardman. The program will be a “Seasoned Mothers of Twins” panel, which will include Phyllis Miller, Betsy Pallo and Sue Brandenstein. They will share experiences and give advice on raising twins to benefit the mothers of younger multiples. GROUPS

Transcendental Interest Group will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the north lounge at Park Vista, 1310 Fifth Ave., Youngstown. The work of John O’Donohue, an Irish author, poet and priest for 21 years, will be the focus of a documentary and discussion. Youngstown Area Weavers Guild will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Colonial Inn at the Canfield Fairgrounds. There will be a demonstration on clasp weft rag rugs by Mary Ann Gasper. A loom will be threaded for members to try the technique. Take a sack lunch and mug for show-and-tell. The guild’s special interest group will meet afterward to continue working on their inkle looms. Mothers of the Crucifix Society of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Youngstown, will meet at 1:30 p.m. Sunday. Cathy Zack will preside, and Justine Antol, Debbie Chufo and Joan Pondillo are hostesses.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Society of St. Rose Church will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the lower church.

Seton III will meet at noon Thursday at the Saxon Club on Meridian Road in Youngstown. Speaker will be Sister Joan Franklin, who will discuss her ministry. Officers will be presented to members by the nominating committee, Sue Williams, Caroline Gustafson, Eileen Kelty, Mary Sheridan and Mary Lou Beck. Election of new officers will follow.
