Vice squad finds baby while investigating drug activity

YOUNGSTOWN — Police reports said members of the vice squad Wednesday found a baby while serving a search warrant about 5:20 p.m. investigating drug activity at a home in the 100 block of East Avondale Avenue on the South Side.

The baby's mother was arrested on a warrant and another man was taken into custody on a possession of heroin charge. Reports do not say what happened to the baby.

Another warrant was also served on the 400 block of Williamson Avenue, also on the South Side, resulting in an arrest there as well.
