“Head Start’s mission to provide social services to low-income children gives our kids the support and tools they need to succeed,” Ryan said in a news release. “This program is critical to so many in our community and across the nation and I am happy that these funds are going to such a good cause.”

The grant is part of the Head Start: Full Year Part Day Handicapped Training and Technical Assistance program though the Department of Health and Human Services. The funds are to fund the program from Nov. 1, 2015, through Oct. 31, 2016.
