Boardman firefighters look for cause of apartment fire

BOARDMAN — Township fire investigators are trying to the exact cause of an early-morning fire today at an apartment building.

Firefighters responded about 7 a.m. to the Glenwood Manor Apartment complex in the 4000 block of Glenwood Avenue, fire Chief Mark Pitzer said.

The fire is believed to have started in a second-floor utility room and spread to the third floor. The damage is estimated about $75,000.

All occupants evacuated the building. One woman was treated at the scene for nonlife-threatening smoke inhalation, Pitzer said.
