Newton Falls 44, Burton Berkshire 36

Jayden Walton scored 24 points for Newton Falls (17-7), which clinched a district final berth by taking down the Berkshire, the tournament’s top-seeded team. Walton became the Tigers’ all-time leading scorer with 1,497 career points. Ben Simpson contributed 13 points and 13 rebounds. Jared Smetana led Berkshire (19-5) with 13 points and 14 rebounds and Ryan Johnson added 11 points. Third-seeded Newton Falls will meet fifth-seeded Garrettsville Garfield in a district final Friday at 7 p.m. at Warren Harding High School.

Massillon Tuslaw 52, South Range 40

SALEM

Mark Meyer led Tuslaw (25-0) with 12 points and Blaine Hewitt added 10 points, including two 3-pointers, as the top-seeded Mustangs got past the Raiders and into a district final. Dan Ritter led South Range with 12 points. Tuslaw will meet second-seeded Louisville St. Thomas Aquinas at 7 p.m. on Friday at Salem High School.

Bristol 57, Warren JFK 52

ORWELL

Alex Jones led Bristol with 15 points and seven assists and Bryce Gabrielson added 11 points as the Panthers clinched a berth in a district final. Phil Alberti and Tommy Donadio each scored nine points for Bristol. Justin Bofenkamp led Warren JFK with a game-high 22 points, Hyland Burton had 11 and Nate Woods added nine. Top-seeded Bristol will meet second-seeded Willoughby Cornerstone Christian in a district final at 7 p.m. Friday at Grand Valley High School.
