Man sentenced to 54 years in Warren shooting

WARREN — Allen Elkins IV, 31, was sentenced to 54 years in prison today after being convicted at trial of shooting at a man in the basement of a home on Adelaide Avenue Southeast in June 2014 during a burglary.

Elkins, who previously spent nine years in prison on another Trumbulll County case, was deemed a repeat violent offender by Judge W. Wyatt McKay of Trumbull County Common Pleas Court.
