Boar’s Head Group of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will serve a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. The meal includes mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, salad, bread and butter, pie and a beverage. Holy Family Parish, 2729 Center Road, Poland, will sell takeout cavatelli dinners with homemade sauce from 2:30 to 6 p.m., or until sold out. Meal also includes two meatballs, tossed salad, bread and butter, and dessert for $9. A smaller portion of cavatelli and one meatball will cost $5. Pasta fagioli will be sold for $6 a quart and pasta sauce for $5 a quart. Place your order, remain in your car and your dinner will be delivered to you.

Martin Luther Lutheran Church, 420 Clearmount Drive, Youngstown, will provide a lunch of chicken noodle soup, bread, beverage and dessert at 1 p.m., following Wednesday services. THURSDAY

Poland United Methodist Church, 1940 Boardman-Poland Road, will have takeout dinners available from 3:30 p.m. until sold out. The cost is $7. No need to preorder or get out of the car. Just drive to the front of the church, and your meal of baked stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes and green beans will be ready.

Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, will host a drive-through chicken dinner from 4 p.m. until sold out for $8 each. A stuffed chicken breast comes with mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans and a brownie.

FRIDAY

American Legion Post 737, 16465 Milton Ave., Lake Milton, will sponsor a fish fry each Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. through March 25. Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon, 2759 N. Girard K. of C. Council 2935 will host Lenten fish dinners at the K of C Hall, 122 S. State St, Girard, from 4 to 7 p.m. Cost is $9 for adults, $4.50 for children 4 to 12 and free for those 3 and under. Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. The cost is $5.50 a dozen. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., will take orders for freshly made each week potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 per dozen. No containers are necessary. Orders should be placed from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday at 330-746-9528 and are to be picked up between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Friday. Hot lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 4500 Norquest Blvd., Austintown, will offer Lenten fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. every Friday through March 18. Menu includes fried or baked haddock or shrimp, coleslaw or applesauce, dessert, bread and butter, beverages and a choice of two sides. There will be a choice of beer batter, fried, baked or cajun-style fish, with a choice of haluski, french fries, macaroni and cheese or parsley potatoes; coleslaw or applesauce; and bread and butter, cake and coffee. St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, sells potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi on Fridays. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $6.50 per dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Walk-in orders are welcome.

St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 4453 Warren-Sharon Road, Vienna, will offer a Lenten fish dinner from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Takeout meals will be available starting at 3 p.m. The meals will include baked or fried white fish, parsley potatoes, pirogi, coleslaw, applesauce, bread, beverage and dessert. St. Vincent de Paul Parish, 1 Lucymont Drive, New Castle, Pa., will have Lenten fish fries, eat in or takeout, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fridays, except for Good Friday, in the parish hall. A baked or fried fish sandwich with one side is $9, baked or fried fish dinner with two sides is $10, a shrimp basket with two sides is $10, and a child’s dinner with one side is $5. Southington American Legion, 3145 Warren-Burton Road, will sponsor an all-you-an-eat pancake breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children under 12. Those 4 and younger eat free. The menu also includes sausage or biscuits and gravy.

Austintown Council of Parent-Teacher Associations and Fitch Art Department will sponsor the eighth annual Souper Supper event from 5 to 7 p.m. March 9 at Fitch High School. Entertainment and a 50-50 basket raffle will take place during the event. All proceeds will benefit needy families in the school district. Tickets are $7 for soup, salad, roll, dessert, a beverage, and handmade bowl and $5 for a meal only or bowl only.
