30 child-porn charges

Richard E. Lisovitch, 32, of Robbins Avenue, has been indicted on 30 child pornography charges, called pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor, and could get more than 200 years in prison, if convicted. He was charged after a search warrant was executed at his home in early February by local law enforcement officers and agents with the Crime Against Children Unit of the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
Victim names possible burglary suspect

Township police are investigating a reported burglary at a Colwyn Court apartment. Police responded there late Monday, according to a report. The victim reported her bedroom had been ransacked, and $2,200 in cash and an estimated $500 worth of jewelry was missing. Also reported missing was a photograph of the victim and a family member. The victim notified police of a possible suspect, according to the report. Barber pole OK’d
YOUNGSTOWN
The city’s Design Review Committee approved a request from Jerome Franklin, owner of Starting Line Up Barbershop, to install a barber pole at his shop at 47 Central Federal St., the Realty Tower Apartments. The barbershop has been open since April. The committee, which oversees the exteriors of building in and near downtown, approved the request Tuesday.
Arrested at motel
LIBERTY
Graeme J. Baker, 25, of Motor Inn Drive in Liberty, was sentenced to 39 months in prison Monday after pleading guilty in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court to marijuana trafficking, cocaine possession, being a felon in possession of a firearm, and possessing criminal tools. Liberty police arrested him Oct. 23 after receiving a tip about a wanted person at a motel. They arrested him on an out-of-county warrant but also found a gun, 18 jars containing suspected marijuana, 4.8 ounces of suspected cocaine and a digital scale in his room.

The Buckeye Review will host an education solutions event from 6 to 8 p.m. March 10. The event will be hosted by the Rev. Clifford Kimbrough at Mount Gilead Baptist Church, 2821 Hillman Ave. Moderator will be Dr. M. Mike McNair. Panelists are state Sen. Joe Schiavoni of Boardman, D-33rd; former Youngstown City schools superintendent Dr. Benjamin McGee; Youngstown State University research economist Jacqueline Taylor; and former Youngstown school board member Tracey Winbush.
