Scott Stapp of Creed coming to Rodeo hall

Scott Stapp, founder and singer of the rock band Creed, will bring his Proof of Life tour to Rodeo Music Hall, 1743 S. Raccoon Road (in Wedgewood Plaza), on May 17.

Tickets are $23 (includes service charge) and go on sale Friday at Shotz Bar and Grille and Biketown Harley-Davidson, both in Austintown, and online at surfthevalley.com.

The Grammy Award-winning Stapp will be performing with a full band.

Creed’s hit songs include “My Own Prison,” “Higher,” “With Arms Wide Open” and “My Sacrifice.”

Stapp battled bipolar disease and addiction for years before overcoming them. He now has a renewed purpose in performing, writing and singing to bring hope to those facing the kind of struggle he knows. The rocker has been sharing his story in the media.
