Girard man faces domestic violence, other charges

LIBERTY — A man is charged with domestic violence and unlawful restraint after an incident early Monday morning near Motel 6 on Belmont Avenue.

A 19-year-old woman told police her boyfriend Brandon Davanzo, 19, of Girard struck her in the face and refused to let her leave a car, according to a police report. She said he kept her in the car for about an hour.

A police report states the woman declined medical attention, but that her hands and face appeared red and swollen.
