Design review committee OK's downtown barber's request

YOUNGSTOWN — The city’s Design Review Committee approved a request today from Jerome Franklin, owner of Starting Line Up Barbershop, to install a barber pole at his shop at 47 Central Federal St., the Realty Tower Apartments.

The barbershop has been open since April. The pole will be installed shortly.

The committee oversees the exteriors of building in and near downtown.
