BOARDMAN

A Youngstown man faces a felony impaired-driving charge after allegedly hitting a police cruiser.

Gregory Fleischer, 58, is charged with felony operating a vehicle while impaired, having an open container and assured clear distance ahead for the incident that occurred Saturday night.

Fleischer reportedly had a blood-alcohol concentration of 0.223, nearly three times the state legal limit of 0.08.

Another Youngstown man faces an impaired-driving charge after a traffic stop at Market Street and Shields Road on Sunday night.

Police allege that Emanuel Green, 34, of Judson Avenue, drove while under the influence of marijuana, prescription medication and alcohol. Although his BAC registered at 0.045, below the legal limit, police believed he was too impaired to drive, as he admitted to being under the influence of drugs.

He is charged with OVI, drug possession and a marked-lanes violation. Police reportedly found 2.9 grams of suspected marijuana in the vehicle.

In a separate case, Shirley Szabo, 53, of Angiline Drive, is charged with failure to maintain control, OVI and OVI with a prohibited BAC after a crash on her street Saturday night. Szabo purportedly struck a parked vehicle there, according to a police report.

Her BAC reportedly registered at 0.165.

Both OVI suspects were released on summonses and are scheduled to appear in Mahoning County Area Court here today.

Also scheduled for a court appearance today is Stephanie Sattarelle, 32, of Lucius Avenue in Youngstown. Police took custody of Satterelle from an area hospital on warrants early Saturday.

She is charged with drug possession and tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony, for a Feb. 20 incident in which she purportedly overdosed on drugs at the Southwestern Run home of a man who said he used a website to hire her to give him a massage.

She previously was charged with felony drug possession and possessing drug-abuse instruments for that incident, according to court records.

Sattarelle reportedly passed out after police arrived. Police seized hypodermic needles and pills from the scene, according to a report.
