The art of politics at Soap Gallery

“Politics, Love or Hate” – a colorful representation of today’s political climate – will open Friday at Soap Gallery, 117 S. Champion St., downtown Youngstown, and run through July 23. A free opening reception and street festival, with vendors and live music, will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday. The art exhibit is a blast of politically themed work by many of the region’s top artists, including James Pernotto, Eric Alleman, Jeff Piper and Suzanne Grey. Pictured above is Piper’s “Mr. America.”
