Boardman police investigate pair of burglaries


BOARDMAN — Police are investigating two burglaries which occurred between Wednesday and this morning.

The first burglary occurred at a Forest Park Drive residence between 10:30 a.m. and 4 p.m Wednesday. The resident reportedly discovered the kitchen window was open and items missing from the home.

The missing items include a PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, a laptop, an external hard drive, a video camera, a wallet containing $300, insurance cards and a social security card.

The second occurred at 2:40 a.m. today at an Oregon Trail residence. The resident, along with a child and guests visiting at the home, were alarmed after hearing the rear door open and quickly slam shut.

Some at the home reportedly investigated the noise and saw the burglar run through the backyard but couldn't see them clearly. No missing items or damage to the residence was reported.

Police have no suspects in either incident.
