Boardman woman faces drug charges after traffic stop


BOARDMAN — A Youngstown woman faces drug charges after an early-morning traffic stop today, according to police.

Officers observed a maroon Toyota illegally parked on Ridgewood Drive, which they discovered belonged to Allena Heriot, 31, of Miller Street.

Officers reported a strong odor of marijuana from the vehicle and a search yielded marijuana, a marijuana grinder and a pill bottle containing pills later identified as Tramadol, a narcotic.

Police also searched her purse and found a bag of an off-white substance which later tested positive for methamphetamine.

Heriot was charged with aggravated possession of drugs, possession of drugs, possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana paraphernalia and driving under a suspended license

She was transported to Mahoning County jail with a bond set at $3,750 and awaits her court appearance Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
