Jury selection underway in 2013 stabbing death case

YOUNGSTOWN — Jury selection is underway in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court in a 2013 murder case.

Theodore Alexander, 59, is charged with murder and felonious assault in the Sept. 29, 2013 stabbing death of Alvin West, 28, of Liberty.

West was found stabbed about 1:35 a.m. inside a Hilton Avenue home. Police said he had been arguing with Alexander before he was stabbed.
