City police seize 3 guns in 2 incidents during weekend


YOUNGSTOWN — Police seized three guns in two incidents this weekend.

Two semiautomatic handguns were found in a car pulled over about 1 a.m. Sunday for a traffic infraction at Oak Street and Medina Avenues and two people were taken into custody.

Another gun was found following a traffic stop about 2:20 p.m. Saturday at Wick and Rayen avenues and a person was also arrested there.

According to Vindicator files, city police have seized 69 guns thus far in 2016.
