AUSTINTOWN

Austintown Lions and Lioness Clubs met June 13 at Rachel’s Restaurant for a joint installation of officers with John Susany presiding. They also celebrated the Lions Club 39th anniversary with spouses and friends as guests.

Paul Metrovich, past council chairman and past district governor, was the speaker and installing officer. He was accompanied by his wife, Linda, from the Calcutta Lions Club. He talked about his experiences obtaining and retaining new members.

Susany was installed as King Lion for his third consecutive term. Other officers installed were Bob Melcher, first vice president; Jack Kochansky, second vice president; Harold Wilson secretary; Larry Jensen, treasurer; Jim Banyots, tail twister; Don Hoelzel, Lion tamer; past District Governor Bob Whited, membership director and public relations chairman; John Facemyer, one-year director; and Larry Jensen, Lioness liason.

Lionesses installed were Lori Stone, president; Lou Skerkavich, vice president; Teresa McCallen, secretary; and Jane Grace, treasurer. Stone presented members with awards of appreciation.
