YOUNGSTOWN

Youngstown police are looking for three suspects in connection with a shooting late Friday in which three men were injured. The extent of the victims’ injuries were not known as of press time Saturday night.

Police responded to a call to Lake Drive shortly after 11:30 p.m. where witnesses said that three men, two of whom are 30 and a third, 36, had been shot and were in the basement of a home. They were transported to a hospital, according to the police report on the incident.

Southington fire

SOUTHINGTON

Investigators are looking into the cause of a fire early Saturday on the roof of the Southington Schools complex on state Route 534.

A passer-by called the Trumbull County 911 Center shortly before 12:30 a.m. after seeing flames shooting from the room, said 21 WFMJ-TV, The Vindicator’s broadcast partner.

With the help of fire-department crews from surrounding communities, Southington firefighters extinguished the fire in less than an hour. The amount of damage is unknown.

Neighborhood meeting scheduled

The Brownlee Woods Neighborhood Association will meet Thursday at Faith Community Church, 1919 E. Midlothian Blvd. There will be refreshments and social time at 6 p.m., and a business meeting starts at 6:30.

Guest speakers will be executive director Heidi Daniel and director of public relations Janet Loew of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County. Deborah Liptak, library development director, and Councilwoman Basia Adamzcak, D-7th, also will attend. The meeting is open to the public.

Archery camp registration open

MERCER, PA.

The Mercer County Conservation District is accepting youth-archery camp registrations for children age 9 to 14.

No archery experience or equipment is necessary. The day camp will be Tuesday through Friday. All archery equipment will be provided.

The first three days will be at Munnell Run Farm, 753 Greenville Road. The final day will be at Gold-N-Grain Archery in Sharpsville, Pa.
