Mr. and Mrs. Grumney mark 65th anniversary

NEWTON FALLS

Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Grumney will mark their 65th wedding anniversary July 2 with a carnival themed picnic at their home in Newton Falls. Invitations have been issued.

It will be hosted by their children: Kathy Davidson of Lake Milton, Cindy Todd of Mineral Ridge, Ray Grumney of Minneapolis, Laurie Bankston and Aaron Grumney, both of Newton Falls, Joe Grumney of Waynesville, Mo., and Mary Smith of Youngstown. A son, John Grumney, is deceased.

They also have 19 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

The former Virginia Safko and Mr. Grumney were married July 7, 1951, at St. Mary Church in Chardon, Ohio.

Mrs. Grumney is a homemaker.

Mr. Grumney worked as a pipefitter supervisor for GM Assembly in Lordstown and retired in 1985. He participated in 12-step work for 50 years.

The couple are members of St. Catherine Church, Lake Milton.
