What to do today around the Valley
Today’s entertainment picks:
v Steel Valley Supernationals, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.: Thousands of hot rods and restored classic cars will be on display at this festival ($8, children under 10 free) at Canfield Fairgrounds; steelvalleysupernationals.com.
v St. Christine Parish Festival, 6 to 11 p.m.: This large annual festival returns ($3) to the church grounds at the corner of South Schenley and Canfield Road on Youngstown’s West Side. There is also a festival this weekend at St. Jude/Lady of Lourdes church, 180 Seventh St., Columbiana (free admission).
v Small Ships Revue: The popular “anything that floats” regatta on the Shenango River in downtown Sharon, Pa., returns after a hiatus. Registration begins at noon, and boats launch at noon. Awards will be given out at 6 p.m., followed by a party outside at Quaker Steak and Lube on Chestnut Street.
v Brass Transit, 5:30 p.m.: Opening the show for this Chicago tribute band will be Abbey Road (Beatles tribute). Admission is $9 (free for children 12 and under). It’s at the Warren Community Amphitheater.
v “The Sunshine Boys,” 7:30 p.m.: This Neil Simon comedy is about an aging comedy duo who reunite years after they split up in anger. It’s at Victorian Players Theater ($12, $9 for seniors and students), 702 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown; 330-746-5455.
“The Wedding March” (9 p.m., Hallmark): “Melrose Place” alums Jack Wagner and Josie Bissett star in the TV film “The Wedding March.” They play college sweethearts who are reunited when he is booked to sing at her wedding. You can guess what happens next.

“Community Connection” (Sunday at 6:30 a.m. on 21 WFMJ-TV, and 11 a.m. on WBCB-TV): Laura Thorpe and Lauren Domitrovich of the Alliance for Substance Abuse Prevention (ASAP) will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to discuss the organization, which is planning a track meet for youths.
“A Conversation with Dee” (today at 6:30 p.m. on MyYTV and Sunday at 7:30 a.m. on WYTV): Host Dee Crawford welcomes Heidi Daniel and Jo Nolfi of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County, who will discuss upcoming events and activities.

Goodness Grows’ second annual Family Fun Day fundraiser will be July 16 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Common Ground Church Community, 2310 W. South Range Road. Dragonfly Balloons will be available from 3 to 5 p.m. The Green Team will provide a special activity.
