New hire at PSU Shenango

SHARON, PA. — Allison M. Engstrom of Boardman has been hired as Penn State Shenango’s new director of development and alumni relations. She began her duties last week.

Engstrom comes to the Shenango campus from Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley, where she had the position as development coordinator for special events and annual fund.

She received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Penn State Smeal College of Business, where she majored in marketing with a focus in management.

Her husband, Adam, is also a Penn State graduate.

Engstrom replaces Steve Hessmann, who took a position as director of major gifts at his alma mater St. Francis University in Loretto, Pa.
