Youngstown police cite 2 for smoking pot, drinking downtown

YOUNGSTOWN — Police cited two men Friday morning for drinking and smoking marijuana downtown.

Javier Gonzalez, 30, of East Kline Street, Girard, was cited for having an open container, and Terrance Warren, 26, of Oak Street, was cited for possession of marijuana.

The two were found about 10 a.m. behind the old Cedar’s Lounge at 131 W. Commerce St. by two officers doing a foot patrol in response to complaints about people gathering behind the building to drink or do drugs.

Reports said Warren had a marijuana cigar in his hand and Gonzalez had beer inside a coffee cup.
