Man loses part of hand when dynamite explodes

YOUNGSTOWN — A man at a Alexander Street home this morning lost part of his hand after a quarter stick of dynamite he was holding while smoking a cigarette blew up.

The man's girlfriend told police they were both smoking when the dynamite went off about 9 a.m.

The man was taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital to be treated for his injuries.
