Dinner honors Mike, Jan Giba 50th anniversary

Mike and Jan Giba of Columbiana, formerly of Boardman, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary April 16 at a dinner at Cafe 422 in Boardman.

It was hosted by their children, Sharon and Michael Tomcsanyi and Carolyn and Sam Alonso and their grandchildren, Kelly and Lindsay Tomcsanyi, Mike and Nicole Tabachino; and step-grandchildren Samantha, Sabrina and Savannah Alonso.

The couple met at the Canfield Fair and were married April 16, 1966, in Youngstown.

Mrs. Giba retired from Alltel Communications from an administrative career. Mr. Giba is employed with Austintown School District and retired from General Motors Lordstown where he worked for 40 years.
