When: Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

What: MetroParks Police will teach children about the sport of fishing.

Where: MetroParks Farm, 7574 Columbiana-Canfield Road, Canfield.

BIRD BANDING WITH AL EIBEL

When: Saturday, 8 a.m. to noon

What: See live, wild songbirds in the hand and learn why bird banding is an important tool for bird and wildlife conservation.

Where: Huston-Brumbaugh Nature Center Visitors Center, 16146 Daniel St. NE, Minerva.

Cost: Free

Details: Drop in any time from 8 to noon. Meet Al outside on the east side of the Visitors Center. Banding sessions are canceled for rain.

CATCHING BUGS

When: Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m.

What: Explore the diverse world of insects through catch and release. Join our staff for a guided bug-catching session.

Where: Huston-Brumbaugh Nature Center Visitors Center, 16146 Daniel St. NE, Minerva.

Cost: Free

Details: No registration required. Bring a bug net and jars or borrow ours.

LIVING WREATH: SUCCULENTS

When: Tuesday, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

What: Create an addition to your garden with Pam Baytos. Using a mixture of succulents and sphagnum moss, this wreath will be easy to grow and requires little water.

Where: Fellows Riverside Gardens

Details: All materials will be provided. Register/pay by Sunday.

When: Tuesdays, 4:30 to 7 p.m., through Oct. 4.

What: Fresh, local produce and homemade items.
