Firefighters battle suspicious blaze at North Side home

YOUNGSTOWN — Fire crews early today managed to contain a fire to the front porch of a 2020 Elm St. home. Crews who were called about 2:30 a.m. found a fire on the front porch which they were able to quickly put out. Reports said there was a strong odor of an accelerant on the front porch.

Damage is listed at $1,000. There were no injuries.
