Allegiant Air, union come to tentative agreement

VIENNA — Allegiant Air and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, representing Allegiant pilots, have reached a tentative contract agreement.

The tentative agreement must be voted on and ratified by the pilots. Ratification results are expected in late July.

The pilots elected the International Brotherhood of Teamsters to represent them in August 2012. This will be the first contract agreement between the pilots and the company since electing union representation.

Allegiant and the Teamsters have been negotiating in mediated sessions with the National Mediation Board since February 2014.

Allegiant operates four services at the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport in Vienna.
