DYP Community Kickoff is Wednesday in downtown Youngstown

YOUNGSTOWN — The Downtown Youngstown Partnership is introducing a community-based group that plans to fill the gaps where needed as it relates to attracting and retaining business and community pride in the downtown area.

The DYP Community Kickoff will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at OH WOW! The Roger & Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science & Technology, 11 W. Federal St.

Local food, dessert and beverages will be offered.

This event will provide resources, updates and a networking forum to bring together small businesses, elected officials, community leaders, residents and people who just love the city. It will also include the monthly meeting agenda.

Attendees will be able to place their vote for the photos submitted by the community to replace the stock images on Phelps Street, DYP’s first project collaboration.
