Parillo Builders wins contract for new Canfield fire station

CANFIELD

Cardinal Joint Fire District fire board members have selected Parillo Builders of Girard as the construction company to build Fire Station 3 on Herbert Road.

Marie Cartwright, fire board member and Canfield Township trustee, said Parillo Builders gave the board the best bid of $2.8 million, which will be adjusted after the board agrees on money-saving changes.

She said during Thursday’s board meeting members went through the bid, line-by-line to see where they could save.

“In doing that, we are getting the cost to where we need it to be,” said Canfield Councilman and fire board president John Morvay.
