Spotlesons mark 60th anniversary at family event

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Spotleson of Poland were honored May 7 at a renewal of their wedding vows and surprise family party at St. Paul the Apostle Church in New Middletown on the occasion of their 60th wedding anniversary.
Hosts for the celebration were the couple’s children and their spouses, Kenton and Lori Thompson of Hudson, Ohio, and Sherry Spotleson, Joey Spotleson and Cindy Clemente and Ricky and Susan Spotleson, all of Poland.
The family includes 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Spotleson and the former Jane Carbon were married May 5, 1956, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Youngstown. They are members of St. Paul the Apostle Church in New Middletown.
Mrs. Spotleson worked as a scheduler for Joe’s Home Appliance Repair in Boardman, which her husband founded and where he worked as a technician. Both are retired.
Mr. Spotleson served in the U.S. Army in Italy during the Korean conflict.
