Bridge closings start Monday

Risher Road, just west of South Leavitt Road in Warren Township, will close Monday and remain closed through early September for a bridge replacement, the Ohio Department of Transportation has announced.

The detour will be South Leavitt Road to Burnett Street to Layer Road.

Also in Trumbull County, state Route 45, just south of state Route 88 in Bristol Township closed Friday and will remain closed through early July for a culvert replacement.

The detour will use state Routes 88, 46, 5 and 305.

In Mahoning County, the Beard Road bridge over the Ohio Turnpike in Springfield Township will close Monday for two weeks for repairs, the Ohio Turnpike has announced.

Also beginning Monday, U.S. Routes 62 and 224 and state Route 46 in Canfield will have lane restrictions for repaving until further notice.

On Friday and June 27, Interstate 76, eastbound and westbound, between Lake Milton and state Route 534 will have lane restrictions for pavement repairs.

On Friday, U.S. Route 224 at Market Street in Boardman will have lane restrictions for crack sealing.

On June 27, state Route 616 in Youngstown from just south of U.S. Route 422 to the Trumbull County line will have lane restrictions for crack sealing.

Closures of two Interstate 80 access ramps are ongoing, ODOT said.

The entrance ramp from Salt Springs Road to Interstate 80 eastbound in Weathersfield is closed through early July for road construction.

The detour is I-80 westbound to Route 46 to I-80 eastbound.

The ramp from state Route 11 northbound to I-80 westbound in Austintown is closed through early August for bridge construction.

The detour is Mahoning Avenue to Route 46 north to I-80 westbound.

Those ramps are closed as part of a $91.5 million project to widen I-80 from four to six lanes between Route 46 and state Route 193, which is to be completed by late July 2018.
