Sharkey-Takach wedding set for early July

Announcement is being made by Mark and Janice Takach of Canfield of the engagement of their son, Mark Takach, and Laura Sharkey, both of Falls Church, Va. The bride-elect is a daughter of Robert and Lynn Sharkey of Lockport, N.Y.

A graduate of the University of Maryland with a master’s degree in speech pathology, Miss Sharkey is a speech-language pathologist at Loudon County Schools in Ashburn, Va.

Mr. Takach earned a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems from James Madison University and is a business intelligence consultant with Teradata Corp. in Reston, Va.

The couple’s open ceremony will take place at 1:30 p.m. July 2 at All Saints Roman Catholic Church in Lockport, and invitations will be issued for a reception to take place at The Columns Banquets in Elma, N.Y.
